The AQUANAL Laboratory offers a wide range of physicochemical analyzes for the control of the nutritional labeling of food products.
The AQUANAL laboratory (Aquitaine Analyses)
Founded in 1989 by Dr Didier GUILLONNEAU, the AQUANAL laboratory quickly specialised in physico-chemical analyses for nutritional labelling in the food and feed sector.
We support professionals in the food industry in controlling nutritional labelling by offering them a wide range of analytical services.
The reliability of the results and the quality of service provided by our analysis laboratory are our priorities.

Our quality approach
The AQUANAL laboratory is committed to constant quality improvement. Since its creation, it has invested in cutting-edge equipment and the latest technologies to ensure the quality of its results as quickly as possible.
In the mid-2000s, the AQUANAL laboratory set up an IT department on its premises. This service, which has supported the laboratory’s digital transformation over the years, is now a major asset.
In addition to carrying out analyses to check the nutritional labelling of food products, it enables AQUANAL to offer a personalised service to its customers to guarantee them the best possible experience. This IT service allows us to increase the traceability of samples and the reliability of the laboratory.
Our move in 2017 to a new, modern 2,000 m² laboratory equipped with high-performance analytical tools has given us the opportunity to create a spacious, bright and pleasant workspace that will enable us to continue our development.
Accreditations & approvals : our history
From the outset, AQUANAL has focused on the quality of its services. One year after its creation by Dr Didier Guillonneau in 1989, the laboratory became a member of the Bureau Interprofessionnel d’Etudes Analytiques (BIPEA). In 1991, it joined the Commission Générale d’Unification des Méthodes d’Analyse (CG D’UMA) for vitamins, became a member of AFNOR and took part in the French and then European collaborative studies that led to the development of numerous official methods (AFNOR and CEN) for vitamin analysis. In 1993, AQUANAL obtained approval from the French Ministry of the Economy and Finance to issue certificates of analysis and purity for the export of foods intended for particular nutritional uses or food products bearing specific nutritional claims. In 1996, AQUANAL set up a rigorous quality system recognised by COFRAC and obtained its first accreditations.
Recognised for its expertise in the analysis of all nutritional labelling parameters and in particular vitamins (active member of working group WG 14, Vitamins, carotenoids and other nutrients, of ISO/TC 34) Food products), keen to extend its services and meet the needs of its customers, in 2010, AQUANAL became involved in the AOAC SPIFAN project and took part in the interlaboratory tests for the validation and publication of numerous international ISO standards, reference methods for the analysis of infant formulas and adult nutritionals.
As the only French laboratory involved in these collaborative studies, AQUANAL boasts a high level of technical skill and expertise, enabling it to offer its customers recognised methods for analysing the essential nutrients in infant formulas and DADFMS.
